Services | Crisis Stabilization Services

The Crisis Stabilization Unit provides short-term, voluntary care to rapidly stabilize behavioral health crises, offering personalized support and linking clients to ongoing services.

The Crisis Stabilization Unit is a voluntary unit that works with consumers to mitigate foreseeable or urgent behavioral health crisis. The program is designed to rapidly stabilize the presenting psychiatric crisis. Clients stay 1-14 days, on average, and the vast majorities are diverted from hospitalization. While at the Crisis Stabilization Unit, crisis guests participate in the home-like milieu: they receive one-on-one support, group treatment, and medication monitoring, they are encouraged to participate in treatment, and they are linked to the support services they will need after discharge.

The CSU takes Medicaid and Commercial Insurances.
