Dr. Roy Schlegel, MD is a psychiatrist with more than 25 years of experience providing psychiatric care in Lewis County. He earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and has spent most of his career serving the community through

Cascade. Dr. Schlegel serves as Cascade’s Medical Director and primarily provides psychiatric services within Cascade’s integrated care system. He works with children, adolescents, and their families, and also provides psychiatric care for adults with a range of mental health needs. In addition to his work at Cascade, he supports access to care by working adjunctively with smaller community clinics across the

region. With extensive experience in rural healthcare, Dr. Schlegel has a strong understanding of the unique mental health needs of rural populations. He brings a steady, evidence-based approach to care and is committed to providing reliable, high-quality psychiatric services that support individuals and families across the lifespan.
