Mindy Greenwood
Biography
Mindy has dedicated more than 30 years to behavioral health, serving in a wide range of roles that reflect her lifelong passion for helping others. She began her career in 1988 as a kitchen aide, steadily working her way through the healthcare field and gaining a unique perspective that informs her leadership today.
Throughout her career, Mindy has served as a clinician, program coordinator, agency owner, and director of substance use and supportive employment services. In 2015, she merged her treatment agency with Cascade Community Healthcare after recognizing the urgent need to integrate mental health and substance use treatment. Her vision and innovation have since shaped programs that continue to expand access and improve outcomes across the community.
Today, Mindy serves as Chief of Inpatient Services at Cascade Community Healthcare. She oversees inpatient programs, voluntary and crisis stabilization units, and is leading the launch of Cascade’s new Crisis Relief Center. She has been recognized for her innovative approaches and has built strong collaborative partnerships across the region.
Mindy’s leadership extends beyond her organization. She served as Co-Chair of the Legislative Subcommittee on integrating Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder services within Washington’s Behavioral Health Organization (BHO). Her influence has helped guide policy and programmatic shifts that prioritize integrated, person-centered care.
Passionate about both staff and community, Mindy continues to lead with compassion, vision, and a commitment to change, ensuring individuals and families receive the support they need to thrive.
