Evaluation Treatment Center

The Cascade Evaluation and Treatment Center (ETC) is located at 3510 Steelhammer Lane in Centralia Washington. The facility offers a 16 bed Evaluation Treatment Unit as well as a 6 bed Crisis Stabilization Unit. Each unit at this facility is designed to provide services to consumers of behavioral health services, specifically those who may be experiencing an urgent or emergent psychiatric crisis.

• Evaluation and Treatment Services

The Evaluation Treatment Unit (ETU) is a secure section of the Evaluation and Treatment Center where behavioral health stabilization services are provided to a population that is considered to be in an emergent crisis. The goal of this unit is to help the individual stabilize their psychiatric symptoms so that they may safely return to the community. Primary services provided at the Evaluation Treatment Unit include medication management, group therapy, individual therapy, skills training, discharge planning/ service coordination, and peer counseling. The Evaluation Treatment Unit staff work to inspire recovery, hope, and autonomy with those that they serve.

The Evaluation and Treatment Unit proudly serves Lewis County residents and those consumers in the surrounding areas to ensure that community members remain close to home and near their natural supports during their time of crisis. However, the Evaluation and Treatment Unit does also accept out of county referrals and admissions.

• Crisis Stabilization Services

The Crisis Stabilization Unit is a voluntary unit that works with consumers to mitigate foreseeable or urgent behavioral health crisis.  The program is designed to rapidly stabilize the presenting psychiatric crisis. Clients stay 1-14 days, on average, and the vast majorities are diverted from hospitalization. While at the Crisis Stabilization Unit, crisis guests participate in the home-like milieu: they receive one-on-one support, group treatment, and medication monitoring, they are encouraged to participate in treatment, and they are linked to the support services they will need after discharge.

The CSU services clients state wide with Medicaid insurance.
